My name is Sandra Elidor and I am the founder of Parenting Plug. I am happily married to my high school sweetheart Abner Elidor. He is a fantastic man and my biggest supporter. I am also a proud mother of two. Our oldest Amber is our royal princess. She is my bonus daughter; far from being my stepdaughter. In our house, that word doesn’t exist. She is a girly girl that loves everything pink and sparkly. She is smart, very optimistic, and loves everyone. Our youngest Logan is our miracle baby. We were told he would have a learning disability very early in the pregnancy. He was born prematurely at 29 weeks weighing in at 3lbs 9oz. He is our fighter. Knowing he would possibly have a learning disability and a delay because he was born so early, I started homeschooling him the week he came home from the hospital at six ½ weeks old. He said his first word at three months. He knew his alphabet before he turned one. He read his first word at one ½ year old. He was thoroughly reading by the age of two. By the age of three, he was reading at a 1st-grade level. Parents, teachers, as well as administrators have asked me how I was able to teach him to read and write at an early age. “It’s easy,” I said. “I just make it fun.”
